today i have a MAJOR confession to make
.
.
.
.
.
it isnt my love for sofa

neither is it the love for bed
you'll probably realise they both share something in common
.
.

.
you can also find it on this cushion cover
.
.

.

alright... i have something weird about myself- Kristal- that i would like to share/confess today....
.
.
.
.
.
.
has anyone heard of the term

....
I HAVE TEXTOPHOBIA!!!!!!
.
.
.
.
.

.
.
.
.
.
really it isnt something i was very proud of (or could ever find a reason to be proud of it!)

.
.
.
first discover this very sad truth when i was a kid,.... maybe 3&half or something.... i like to play with my younger bro whose 2&half by then (we are exactly a day before a year apart... )

My favorite game was forcing him to pretend to play restaurant with me... we have a dining table on top of a carpeted floor and the table for 8 was fanciful... very pretty and very clean...
.
.
.
.
.
.
i vividly remember how i like to seat on the dining table and pretend to be a dining guest... you know kid run around in their pampers and their thigh can feel almost anything they sit on? Well... i was always always sitted on the cushion of the dining chair and i HATED that feeling....
.
.
.
.
.
.
you know you have phobia of certain textile when you get goosebump every single f**king time you are in contact with that material
.
.
needless to say i was very disturb by my goosebump.. the shiver down my spine.. that equally disturbing after effect upon getting in contact with the cushion...
.
.
.
its not that the cloth was all soft and spongey.. it wouldnt be so bad if it were... i HATE/FEAR cloth that is being stretch till its tight and fasten with lotsa of cotton wool underneath it like you can find in a cushion chair...
.
.
.
the feeling is awful it made me cringe...
.
.
.
having a string of bad romance in the past.. i can vouch my past dates were very mindful of my expression when i came in contact with textile of this sort... till date it hasnt change...

.
.
.
.
bbbbbb's house is really comfortable... the only thing that gives me a bad feeling is the cushion lying on his sofa.... i like to join him on the cushion while we catch tv together after a long day of study and if he is using that cushion i will come up with all sorts of excuses not to go neat THAT stuff..... eventually he found the root of the problem and he will put the cushion far away from me......
.
.
.
.
.
.
its absurd you might think, the extend i go to avoid getting in contact with such fabric... i still remember how i use to go get lunch with PaperStop and she has a really pretty Prada wallet that is made of the same material (realise i haven identify this material.?? i cant really tell if its more of a nylon or a synthetic satin) and whenever i was given the task to hold her wallet for her.. my face changed.....
.
.
.
PaperStop is aware of my phobia.. we once talked about it and she confess her phobia too...
.
.
.
.
sigh i am a.............

i am a property of textophobia... i am textophobic.. and i have to admit... it has been with me for 24 years now... i really hate to have this phobia... textile are material we come into contact with EVERYDAY.. and i get goosebumps ever so often....
.
.
.
.
so ladies/close friends and those whom i have hang out with.. now that you know of my problem... dont feel too alarm when i reject aggressively to using some fabric... sitting on some chair and chilling out at some comfy place.. .its the cushion..!!
.
.
.
.
.

in order not to allow myself to feel like i am the only one.. i would like to highlight a few other phobia that ppl around me are suffering from...
  • fear of seeing repeated patterns -i.e. raindrop forming on car window... cracks found on wall.. rashes on body that form bumps in repeated patterns.. steam forming on polyester bowl when you takeaway a bowl of hot soup.
  • fear of scratching against a black board- i.e. try really cringing your fingers and going against a chalkboard...
  • fear of papercut- i.e. re-enacting the process of being cut over and over your mind, with each time giving you the same amount of fear... shiver .. and pain
