so Clar has left for Germany - AGAIN... but this time.. she left behind something really special....
Pau, Clar and i have become close-er friends, much much closer than before, we even got a slumber party done at Pau's one night.... where we chit chat like no tomorrow, and when pau soon concuss Clar and i spent the night just chatting away.... it was such heartwarming moments i couldnt forget.


Pau made me promise i wont slip away again this time.... i admit i did it before, once was when i no longer felt the friendship btw us was all that strong to need to hold on to... and the other time, i was playing saint to this dear friend of mine was better off being with girls of her own age... Needless to say i regretted it much and even bbbbbbbb mention i had look much happier.

Clar and i didnt had a good "ending" the previous time she was in SG, i guess there was alot of misunderstanding between us, particularly the part when she had misunderstood i was trying to snatch this childhood friend away. Thank God we trash things out a little before her return and this trip to SG was a golden opportunity to treasure what is left of the previous friendship we had together and to build on new ones =)

We now held a group chat on whatsapp where the three of us says the most random stuff.... and when i feel the urge to purchase some cosmetic i can always seek clar's opinion, Steve Jobs make distance shrink and thank God we can make use of this facilities.... i almost felt as if she was just a call away -  and she is

so today's another day at work (to fill you in when i can manage my mood a little better. i've decided to cheer up my thunderstorm tuesday with some compilation of jokes i've ripped off the net... it makes me laugh quite a bit... so i hope its contagious to you too =)

And i know i am not alone feeling so tragicallly affected by the man who made history.

You know sometimes if you read up social study books, history and encyclopedia on legendary human-figure, they wear rope, have wings, third eyes, long hair, holds a sword, walks around in a tuxedo, has the weirdest moustache of all time.

I never knew i'll live long enough to witness the happening of another revolution. I always thought i'll read up more essays and articles just so that i could explain to my children some of the wonders of the world they hadnt explore....

This time, i was lucky....

Like me, many other of my friends, people living here and now, had a bird-eye view of evolution of human mankind. Do i sound really old to admit i;ve been there, during the era of cassette, walkman, MD player (which didnt last more than half a year of craze) and finally stepping into the era of burn CD, piracy and Napster.

i vividly remember my first cassette player, a treasure i had to call my own, given by my late grandma, it had served me pretty well especially since my siblings and i had the habits of recording our silly jokes and mimicking of radio DJ on cassettes.

And then i pursuaded my Grandma to get me my first - and only- CD walkman player. It had played all the best music of my time, some huge bands like Spice Girls, Savage Garden, Backstreet boys and Atomic Kitten..... i still keep both treasures with me, as keepsake for the memory of my beloved Grandma.

Who would have one day decided enough was enough and that we should stop purchasing music that comes in the form of a disc? Who would have tried to challenge what everybody had claimed was the "best" thing of their teenage years? When i first saw my cousin, Rem, holding on a white looking stick with a round button in the middle, i tot he look rather silly....

When Rem explained that inside the mp3 was thousand of songs, and he had gotten most of them off the net, i had lotsa ???????????? in my mind. And there i was accusing him of illegally downloading his music (and went on to show off how it was easier just grabbing them from MSN--> send files). Rem said something that makes me take Apple more seriously..... he said "Apple is here to stay...... Apple is the new thing"

Years later while doing research on successful companies in preparation for uni, i came across loads of articles, mostly on Windows and Apple, i learnt about stock and how the stock market sore crazily high on certain occasions.

I begin on an excessive search of this man everyone is talking about, i cannot lose out. I found out how he had "discover" Apple off a friend parents' garage with a couple of other friends. How many of them eventually lost hope in Apple and left the partnership. I found out how the first ever Apple computer look like. I also learn about how apple had insist on Macintosh, and since convert alot of IT gurus to rave about this technology.

I also learnt about how Steve Jobs challenge the mindset of all mankind. How he had asked what was needed to be done to Apple to make it stands out from the other brand.
I googled more into the battle between Creative soundblaster and Apple sound technology, of how ITunes finally came into picture, of how Hollywood music entertainment industry came into the picture and how mega stars turn to ITunes instead of CD sales to promote their album.


i youtube on how Steve Jobs awe the audience during his presentation of Apple Iphone, and several other parody teasing his presentation skill... i had my doubts about Ipad (the name that is) and other generations of Apple products.... and then the time came..... I CONVERT!

A year into using the Apple products, i am ashame to admit i regretted not converting earlier.... if only..... if only everything had taken place at another era..... i'll be looking at Steve Jobs pictures off my history textbook, learning about his greatest works....... he is like the MJ of the IT industry.... if geeky IT fans had the passion of the music Fan.... i can foresee how many will hold up their placard terming "Married me Steve" "i'll wanna be yours" "never say never" ... etc...



When i learnt of his dismissal early this morning, i immediately doubt this.... it was reported just 2 weeks back that the myth of his dismissal was FALSE and untrue.... when i log into the Apple home page/ thesun.co.uk news/ Wikipedia.org.

Alot of other peeps confirm this fact.....



You'll always be remembered as someone very very profile and intelligence that once lived in my era......... RIP Steve Jobs

 This days, i've been leaving the house for work, spending whatever time possible with bbbbbbbbbbb, trying to spend some time with my family, and planning for the future.

The month of September had been filled with lotsa fun, especially with Clarinda's short return, all three of us (Pau, Clar and me) had been trying our best to spend whatever quality we can come up with together, and nights that we couldnt meet we'll gossip on groupchat. Kristal being myself (that had since stop clubbing a long time ago) will spent all other non-alcoholic time with the ladies.


I'll fill you in with some pictures of the ladies, the bintan trip on the other posts. For now, here's me looking all confident without contact lenses, hanging out with bbbbbbbbbbbb.......


Sharon besties has commented that she still hasnt gotten use to me not wearing my lens.... i believe it'll takes some time getting use to =)

bbbbbbbb's sister pass us some groupon voucher for bak kut teh at Marina Square, and bbbbbbbbbb called upon his usual mates to enjoy this dinner together...


i wouldn't say the PaoXiang Bak Kut Teh at Marina Square is all that Yums...... but the bill sure isnt worth the tiny portion..... i dun see myself heading back the second time....

i am very very tanned from the recent Bintan trip with Ray, Jann and Xue...

what shoes do you adore? i love flats, i complain about wearing heels all the time....


i wanted heels, i brought heels, but i dont wear them, if i do, bbbbbbbbbbb hears me complain all the time...


sometimes i ask bbbbbbbbb if i could put on a white lacy pretty pumps on our wedding........ and he will never complain about it..........but other times i think i fail as a woman, not being able to walk around in a nice pair of killer heels.....

other times, when i feel not-so-girly.... i'll go for loafers too =)


being a woman has its benefits =) we get to play mix & match, coupling different kind of shoes together with different attires..... if only flats are equally acceptable as heels, and if only they make all short girls like me, look slanky and tall...

A Quick update on our National day before leaving the house.


we have intend to bring forward our anniversary celebration to today and its off to catch "Horrible Bosses" in the afternoon follow by a lobster dinner tonight (my craving... )

bbbbbbbbb surprise me this morning when i woke up with a really really special gift..

he has carefully drafted a copy of our photobook and have it publish into a hard cover book, and this is REALLY our story...........<3

i love how the little memos he writes makes so much sense.... considering he is one person who cannot put feeling into words, i must say those sentence he found off google make perfect sense to our relationship... and had me crying the first thing in the morning.....



i love how the first scrap book he made for me was hand made meticulously and this time it is officially published! We'll finally have something to read to our kids during bedtime in future... right darby? =)

the cover of the book is name the RodKris Ave, its actually a combination of our initials, and the place we'll like to call our own. RodKris Ave is a place we've carefully picture in our mind, a land we have furnish with all our favourite things..... there are my volkswagen beetle, my strawberry milk cornflakes.. and his favourite items..... its imaginery now, but we will eventually make it happen =)

Now before you accuse me of not pampering my dearest man on our third year anniversary, here's my present......... its a virtual gift, but one he TRULY like, and was shock upon receiving...


heehee, thats right, i've sign up a 12 months contract of sport channel for my boy in his room and the console and set up shall be done within the next 7 working days.... all this bill to me!



i've always acknowledge him as a huge fan of soccer.... last year i;ve save hard enough to buy him his PS3 console and till date it has been carefully taken care of by him, sometimes i do feel a little ignored when he gets too engross playing his Fifa 11 or winning 11, but other times.... seeing just how it put a smile on his face makes me really happy so its worth it...



this time, the MIO tv sports channel will help him and his buddies (they always watch soccer over prata in serangoon) have a much comfortable zone to catch the live action, chill over snacks and drinks... in the comfort of his room, with the air-con on, and not to have to worry i wont be able to sleep without him at night...

Busy with work, a pretty non stop matter anyway.... been taking lesser and lesser pictures of myself lately due to the shortage of contact lens,


i haven been wearing a lens for almost a month now.... the feeling is weird but refreshing, haven't seen the sunlight so piercingly strong for a while now... but bbbbbbb and i both felt it was due to the bad bad infection i had from my last pair...

anyway some terms Miss Optometrist Sheeeenaaaa advise me was that the shape of the lens did not fit my cornea thus for the longest time i had a thin piece of plastic (meaning the contact lens) scrapping against my poor cornea.... (which is the very very thin layer of protection in front of your lens... )

i know i know very technical terms.... learn it from work, at least i can speak some "doctor" language now... haha

anyway.... both weekend had been spent with bbbbbbbb's family and his siblings... who are a bunch of fun people that can always come up with places to go..

Here's one place bbbb and i brought them to.... the 12th storey of Orchard Central.... bet you haven been there too.. haha

scenery from above is stunning and definitely deserve an experience... imagine walking aimlessly in town with all the buzzing around and all of a sudden you land yourself in a top-spot amidst the crowd, with beautiful scenery of Orchard, good wind, and lotsa of flora and fauna.... go find the place people!

haha.. this is stupid... we landed inside the editor's market and was shock at how every single garment inside is sooooooooooo over priced.... so while the bbbbbbbbb's elder sis and Aazac's gf went to shop around, Charmine, bbbbb and i were fooling around with their accessories, the shades above is probably the cheapest find you can find there =)

She needs no introduction, she is bbbbbbbb's sister Charmine, you might have seen her on my blog a couple of times... haha... we became really good friend after i dated bbbbbbbbbbbb.,.... and we are planning a awesome 21st birthday for this little princess ....

the two of us being bored and cam whoring while the older siblings shop branded and visit bridal convention.... haha

She has the cutest chin ever... if you ever meet her you'll know what i meant... haha

and here's me.... duper ugly with the tiny eyes of mine.... all i really need now is to adjust the way i take pictures.... from scratch..... its been 8 good years since i rely on contacts..... haix//// this is the real thing now people, the real Kristal face.. haha

there! all nice now... but never as nice as with my contact lens on (okokoko.. its call cosmetic lens but whatever~)

bbbbbb keep claiming i look better now that i am "natural" and he was the one to bann me from wearing lens for a long period of time... do you know that cosmetic lens has a layer of colouring to define the eye, and the colored part of the lens prevents air from entering the eye thus losing moisture and eventually hurting the eyes.... therefore, wearing proper contacts lens and keep to cosmetic lens only once in a while (not that i am convince anyway)...

Dear bbbbbbbbbbb,
today you asked me how i felt about the relationship three years on, i've said it was "stagnant" and had made you upset.

But understand this dearest, we've come pretty far and considering the one year you've been away while i'm here in Singapore, stagnant is a symbol of how things haven change, stagnant has the significance of how i had made the correct decision earlier and am still living off each day with pride.

We haven't been through much downs and ups, afterall, i'm only embarking on a new journey as a working adult now, things are gonna take a twist in time to come and at the very moment now i am just thankful with you, it has been stagnant.

Like i mention this afternoon, our relationship will only face another prime in our lives in about 5/6 years time when we finally talk about the next huge step by talking about "lifetime". And yes, i have been going on and on about wanting to take this huge step but ultimately, i'm really glad you are here to slow me down, to teach me to look into things much clearly, to plan in advance and not to let any regrets take place.

Thank you for the past three years, the next three years, and a couple more we might have to undergo. Till the next year come, i love you Darby=)
